Hello Handshakes

Terms of use

Last updated 5 November 2026

The agreement

Hello Handshakes is made and run by SaaSy Cookies Limited, a New Zealand company (โ€œweโ€). By creating an account you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you use Hello Handshakes for a business or an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

Who it's for

Hello Handshakes is for business owners and the people who run networking groups, not for personal or consumer use. You need to be 18 or older, give us a real name and email address, and keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Using it well

We can remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why unless we're not allowed to.

Your content

What you put in Hello Handshakes (your card, contacts, notes, reminders, messages) stays yours. You let us store and show it as the app needs, for example showing your card to the people your settings allow. Your contacts, notes and reminders are private to you. If someone saved your details before you joined, we may offer to connect them to your profile when you sign up, and you can decline.

Groups

Organisations and chapters are run by their organisers, not by us. Organisers decide who joins, what a group charges and how it's run. Membership fees and meeting fees are paid to the group directly; Hello Handshakes doesn't take or hold those payments and isn't part of any agreement between you and a group. Visitors to a group can see its meetings and the organisation that runs it, but not its member list.

Free and paid plans

The service

We work hard to keep Hello Handshakes running and your information safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features, and we'll tell you in advance about changes that take away something you pay for.

Liability

Because Hello Handshakes is for business use, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 doesn't apply, and you agree it's fair and reasonable that it doesn't. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost business or profits), and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't legally be limited, including under the Fair Trading Act 1986 where it applies.

Ending

You can stop using Hello Handshakes at any time, and ask us to delete your account at hello@saasycookies.com. We can close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time, with notice where we can give it.

Changes and the law

We'll tell you in the app before a change to these terms that matters takes effect. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts deal with any dispute. Questions: hello@saasycookies.com.
